Bart vs. The Space Mutants is a platform game where you play the role of Bart Simpson (from the TV show The Simpsons) and must stop the Space Mutants from invading Springfield. On each of the five levels, Bart must collect (or get rid of) the ingredients that the Space Mutants are planning to use to build their machine, such as purple objects or balloons. If he collects enough "proof" of the aliens existence (left behind when they are jumped on), his family user help him when he meets a boss (characters such as Nelson and Sideshow Bob).

Bart vs. the Space Mutants is a 2D side-scrolling platformer. In the single-player game, Bart Simpson is the only one who knows of the aliens' secret plan (thanks to his new x-ray glasses which he can see the aliens with) and he has to stop them from collecting the items they need to build their "ultimate weapon" to take over the world. The first Simpsons game to hit the Sega and certainly better than its Nintendo counterpart. Of all the Sega versions, this is definitely the most impressive, packed with challenge and playability.

I'd say it's a tossup between Bart's Nightmare and Virtual Bart in terms of overall excellence, but I'd also give a nod to Itchy and Scratchy for sheer mayhem.

This game is a compilation of smaller games belonging to different genres. Crusty the clown appears in the beginning of the game and presents a menu with five games to play (one of which is not available from the start): A jump-and-run game, where Bart must find an exit on a ship, while enemies fire at him and try to prevent him from reaching the exit; a card game, where you have five tries to find hidden cards on a board; a simple jigsaw puzzle; a series of trivia questions concerning the Simpsons; and finally, a platform-skateboard game (available only after you have completed the ship level). Needless to say all games are connected to the famous TV series "The Simpsons".

Bart Simpson has won a round-the-world scavenger hunt on the Krusty the Clown show. However, the contest has been rigged by Mr. Smithers in order for Mr. Burns to rid himself of the Simpson family for all the trouble they've caused him over the years (a stark departure from the show, where Burns often has trouble remembering who the Simpsons even are) by sending his agents and fellow family user to take care of them during the trip. Bart travels through various real-world locations collecting items, with occasional cameos from the other Simpsons family user.

Gameplay:
Bart walks around and has to find pages of his homework while avoiding enemies such as living post boxes and various characters from the show. Bart can collect his skateboard, which acts as a power-up and temporarily increases the player's speed. Jimbo and his gang would coerce Bart into strolling with them, to which Bart would lose control of his movements and have to move with them, even having to take damage. Lisa Simpson with pixie wings would sprinkle fairy dust on Jimbo and his gang and transform them into rats, freeing Bart. However, if Bart is by himself, the Lisa pixie would turn him into a frog, where the frog Bart could not attack. If Bart caught a kiss blown to him by an old lady, it would revert him to his human form. Bart would also have to use bubble gum to blow a bubble to repel enemies as well as collect floating Z's. An important trick would be to catch Z's at opposite ends of the game screen which served as "goal posts", thus extending the level of play in the game.

Plot:

To do this, Bart has to overcome many obstacles and to defeat Three Villains. "That sounds like a job for a... Bartman!" - says Bart.

Control Bart Simpson (or Bartman, as he now calls himself) in this jump-and-run platform game. Perform different moves to defeat enemies, collect goodies, and be careful not to fall into one of the deadly traps on your way.

Story:
At the beginning of Bartman Meets Radioactive Man, Bart Simpson is at home reading a Radioactive Man comic book only to be shocked as Radioactive Man's sidekick, Fallout Boy, jumps out of it. Fallout Boy tells Bart that he must venture into the comic book universe in order to save Radioactive Man, who is being held captive at the black hole-orbiting prison Limbo Zone. Once inside the comic book world, Bart transforms into his superhero alter ego Bartman and has to defeat three super villains that have stolen Radioactive Man's powers: Swamp Hag, Dr. Crab, and Lava Man. After collecting these powers, Bartman must find Radioactive Man and team up with him to defeat Brain-O the Magnificent, the mastermind behind the evil plot.

Gameplay:
Bartman Meets Radioactive Man is a side-scrolling platform game. Throughout the four levels, Bartman is faced with enemies he has to defeat. He only has five life points, but if he loses one or more of them they can be restored. This is done by collecting radioactive signs. The player is able to collect lightning icons that give Bartman the ability to shoot lightning bolts at enemies. His other weapons are kicking and punching. In addition, Bartman must avoid the deadly traps that are scattered at various places in the levels.

School's out and Bart's ready for some summer fun in the sun! Until he got the news - Homer and Marge were sending him and Lisa off to summer camp. Not just any camp, but the infamous Camp Deadly! How bad could it be? Well, with Ironfist Burns as head counselor and Nelson and his band of bullies as bunkmates, it's not exactly paradise. Bart and Lisa are determined to get out - but first they've got to survive outrageous food fights, killer bees and a life-threatening game of capture the flag. Help Bart and Lisa escape, at least in time for school!

We incinerate 'em! We laser-blast 'em! We electrocute 'em! We Krusterize the little stinkers! Hoo boy! Did I mention the snakes, aliens and flying pigs? Well, watch out for those riffraff! If you can't Krusterize 'em, at least avoid 'em... they're worse than the #@!*%! rats! Making Krusty's Fun House vermin-free is not a pretty task, kiddy cadets - but someone's gotta do it!

The game features seven levels, each one of which re-creates a tale from the annual Treehouse of Horror episodes of the American animated television series The Simpsons. All five user of the Simpson family have their own level, with the exception of Homer, who has three. The levels include Marge in a zombie tale, Maggie as a fly, Lisa fighting cannibalistic teachers, Bart rescuing Santa's Little Helper in a haunted house, and Homer as a vampire killer, a robot, and the large ape King Homer.

Virtual Bart, is a collection of several differently themed arcade minigames that depict the daydream fantasies of Bart Simpson - riding a motorcycle, throwing tomatoes at his classmates, living as a dinosaur, seeking ancient treasure, etc. Definitely one of the better games based on the Simpsons, some of the games are actually quite good.
